A plant eye’s view – Key to our evolution and wisdom

Michael Pollen talks brilliantly about what we have to learn from nature, which in my opinion is endless. Amazing and enlightening TED talk.

“Looking at the world through other species point of view, is a cure for the disease of human self importance”

This is an amazing point, surrounding ourselves with this nature in the urban world can help to eliminate the ego, which is the root to many negative things happening in society. The ego can also create negative emotions, which inevitably manifest in the body as illness. He touches on human consciousness and illusions that we create for ourselves and questions our sophistication compared to other species.

“What if human consciousness isn’t the end-all and be-all of Darwinism? What if we are all just pawns in corn’s clever strategy game to rule the Earth? Author Michael Pollan asks us to see the world from a plant’s-eye view.”
